We don’t use the ‘star rating’ system because it is owned by Boots the Chemist, who license it to selected brands. However, this isn’t the only way to measure UVA protection.
Instead, we follow the European Commission recommendations, which state that the UVA protection factor should be at least one-third of the SPF. Our Green People Sun Lotions exceed this standard.
To show this, we use the UVA-in-a-circle symbol, developed by the European Cosmetics Association (COLIPA). This symbol confirms that a product provides reliable UVA protection in line with EU guidelines.
